Ida Grove, Iowa – GOMACO has designed a new 3D mast that is lightweight and provides stability of the 3D prism. The new masts are easy to handle and easily mount to all models of GOMACO concrete paving equipment. The new masts are made from aluminum, which drastically reduces their weight. They feature square, telescoping tubes that are engineered to strict tolerances to maintain a tight fit. The tight fit will help position the 3D components accurately and rigidly. Each mast can telescope up to 54 inches (1372 mm) for line-of-sight positioning. They are now available on all new GOMACO machines and are also built to retrofit on machines currently in the field.
The new lightweight aluminum masts are being introduced at this year’s World of Concrete. The advantages of 3D guidance systems are featured on all of the machines in the GOMACO booth at World of Concrete 2016. GOMACO’s exclusive G+® control system seamlessly integrates with all of the major 3D guidance systems, including Topcon, Leica Geosystems, and Trimble. GOMACO’s 3D team is once again at World of Concrete ready to discuss 3D paving applications.
